Bridge Builders of Atlanta

Biography

Adrian Moore’s Bio

Adrian Moore was born in the small town of Climax, Georgia on October 15, 1973 to the late Carl Moore and Marion Faye Rogers. As Adrian grew into a young man, he eventually decided to leave the small town for the larger city of Atlanta, Georgia. Though he struggled to find shelter night after night, Adrian was determined to never return to his small hometown. Subsequently, the stress and unpredictability of sleeping in cars and complete homelessness led him to an accessible path of destruction. In the midst of his despair and desperation, Adrian found solace for his broken spirit when he heard the voice of the Lord. He hearkened to the voice and began regularly attending church in June 2007. He fully dedicated himself to his home church, King of Glory Christian Worship Center, and in June 2009, he was ordained as a deacon by Pastor Kenneth Thomas. With a new sense of direction, passion, and determination, Adrian obeyed the calling of the Lord and began fighting for those less fortunate.

In June 2010, Adrian Moore founded Bridge Builders of Atlanta Incorporated.  It is a non-profit organization that strives to address the concerns of homelessness and poverty. The service-oriented organization has held numerous feedings on the streets of downtown Atlanta, and in local shelters such as the Gateway Shelter and the Atlanta Day Shelter.  Moore’s organization has also gone into the UPAC Nursing Home to entertain the elderly with games and readings from the comforting voices of children. BBOA continued its services with the opening of a food pantry in Ellenwood, Ga on March 13th 2012. The organization distributes food to needy families on designated days.

Adrian Moore’s ultimate dream is to expand Bridge Builders of Atlanta’s services to include a shelter for the homeless. He is currently working diligently with the support of his two children, one grandchild, and several volunteers to uphold and better the communities of Atlanta.

God has called and prepared me for the assignment of helping His people in need. Reflecting on my life, I am grateful that God has delivered me from being homeless and living an unruly life. I know that my current direction is all for the Kingdom building of His people.  I pray every morning that I am a blessing to somebody. My desire is to continue to serve God’s people.
